Nikki and Sheila are sisters who have been lucky enough to study the subjects of their dreams.
Nikki is currently a GP and Director of Primary Care for NHS England, Sheila is a planetary scientist, author and space educator for the Royal Astronomical Society with a keen interest in diversity. Both sisters are working mums, proud to be juggling careers and family life.
In December 2012, the sisters realised they wanted to connect, inspire and empower people from communities which may not be able to access ‘STEMM’ subjects – science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine – and STEMMsisters was born!
When you engage with us we hope you can find all forms of support – STEMMsisters can offer you mentoring, advice, networks, keynote speakers, and lots more within your areas of STEMM.
So sign up, make friends, have a chat and enjoy our STEMM network; the only one of its kind!
